2017 Silk Road Innovation Forum on Surveying, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science(IFSRG)
December 18th through 21st, 2017 the "2017 Silk Road Innovation Forum on Surveying, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science (IFSRG)" was held in Xi'an University of Science and Technology. A total of 41 scientists, researchers and Ph.Ds in the field of surveying, remote sensing and geographic information from 32 research institutes and prestigious universities from home and abroad were invited to participate in the forum and made relevant theme reports. Among them Prof. Matthew Hansen from the University of Maryland, Hong Yang, Remote Sensing Big Data Center of Tsinghua University, Chen Ruizhi, State Key Laboratory of Wuhan University, Chen Fang, researcher of Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guan Qingfeng from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) made remarkable professional reports respectively. Meantime PhDs and scholars from the US Stanford University, Yale University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the United States Department of Agriculture, the United States Geological Survey, the Canadian Environment Agency, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of New South Wales, Monash University and domestic universities shared their research results. Participants listened attentively to the report and talks, and held questions and discussions session with experts and scholars on technical hot issues. The exchange on surveying and mapping, remote sensing and geographic information has shared the application and staged research results of earth observation technology and promoted the innovative application of earth observation technology in the Belt and Road and in the global arena for surveying, remote sensing and geographic information and related cross-cutting fields. The Forum has provided Scholars with a high level academic exchange platform and scientifically predicted the innovative development and possibilities in the field of surveying, remote sensing and geographic information frontier. International Department of our company participated in the forum and raised questions in the session.
